Our terms and conditions

When supplying files via the online portal, it is important for you to be aware of agree to our terms and conditions. If your request does not meet these conditions, we will not be able to process it.

Conditions for supplying 2D drawings / DXF files

You can upload up to 99 DXF files. These files have to meet the following conditions:

  • Scale 1:1
  • 1 sheet metal sequence per file: 1 closed outside contour with inner contours, no open contours allowed.
  • No measurement specifications, hatching, text, or frames.
  • The file name has to be unique and feature fewer than 20 characters.
  • The file name cannot contain any punctuation marks.
  • The online portal is incompatible with AutoCad 2017/2018; upload your files as R2013AS2Drawing*DXF.
  • The maximum dimensions for cutting parts are 2980mm x 1480mm, because the maximum standard sheet metal size is 3000mm x 1500mm.
  • The minimum hole diameter up to 10mm sheet thickness is 0.8 x sheet thickness. For sheets of 12mm thick and up, the minimum hole diameter is equal to the sheet thickness.
  • Drilling locations or tap locations are engraved in the event that diameter < sheet thickness 10mm = 0.8 x sheet thickness.
  • File must contain only lines and curves (no proxy graphics, regions, polylines, LWpolylines, blocks, spline, etc.).
  • Lines to be cut must be drawn in colour number 0 (black/white).
  • Lines to be engraved must be drawn in colour number 2 (yellow).
  • In the event of text to be engraved, enter it as lines and curves, not as actual text
  • Incision lines must be drawn in colour number 11 (green).
  • Only use drawn lines for separating processes, engravings, and bevels (no centre lines, dotted lines, etc.).
  • No overlapping lines or curves.
  • At least 0.5mm between incisions.
  • Rounded edges are generated by the software depending on the sheet thickness.
  • In the event of asymmetrical tolerances, contours must be drawn in the centre of the tolerance area; draw Ø 20.25mm holes for Ø20 -0/ +0.5 mm.
  • The drawn geometry must reflect the facing side.
  • The grinding direction must be specified in the function orientation; if it is not specified, it will be interpreted freely (O).
  • The surface structure must be on top; the grinding direction must always be drawn horizontally.
  • Any burrs must be on the bottom.
  • In the event of one-sided foil, the foil has to be on top.
  • In the event of laser-cut chequer plate, the smooth side is the bottom one.
  • If you would like to be provided with a materials certificate, please let us know by typing a comment in the comment box.

Conditions for supplying 3D drawings / STEP files

If you want us to do bending work for you, we will need 3D files. You can upload up to 99 STP or STEP files. These files have to meet the following conditions:

  • Scale 1:1
  • 1 part per file
  • The file name has to be unique and feature fewer than 20 characters.
  • The file name cannot contain any punctuation marks.
  • Always submit a PDF with the same file name as the corresponding STEP file, containing any additional information (facing side, dimensions, foil, etc.). Read more.
  • The maximum sequence dimension is 2980mm x 1480mm because of the laser’s maximum reach.
  • The inner radius must equal the sheet thickness at the very least; if a wider radius has been drawn, it will automatically be reduced to equal the sheet thickness and be realised as such.
  • Any bending work is quoted based on our standard bending tools.
  • Any threaded holes must be drawn as drill holes.
  • The STEP file must not contain any galvanised holes.
  • At least 0.5mm between incisions.
  • Corner joints between two sheet components cannot overlap in the sequence.
  • No sheet distortions other than those that can be bended using our press brakes.
  • Any rounded edges are generated by the software depending on the sheet thickness.
  • The cutting direction can be altered in column 5.
  • If the STEP file contains an edge process, that process will be calculated automatically and listed on the quotation as well.

Conditions for CSV files

You can also upload CSV files in our online portal, which will allow you to specify your choice of materials, quantities, and thicknesses.

The conditions below apply to all CSV files:

  • CSV files have to upload simultaneously with the corresponding DXF files.
  • Permitted separators are semicolons, commas, straight dashes, and tabs. The import will be able to automatically recognise which separator you used.
  • Permitted decimal symbols are full stops and commas.
  • Empty columns and column fields are allowed, except for the geometry-file column, which serves as the key for the project lines. The file name can be a full path or just a file name.
  • CSV files with fewer than 7 columns are also allowed, as long as the right column division is used.
